Hi,
A customer bought 7 articles on my shop (all of the same price, the same design, just colors changes) but instead of choosing 1 by 1, she just went for the same product and she choose 7.
Etsy show it only for 1 sales. Why? I paid 7 times for the renewal for the product sheets so why etsy doesn't show 6 others like sales?
thank you!
thank you!

The number of sales showing on the shopfront isn't calculated in any logical way. It's not the number of orders, and it's not the number of items sold. It's the number of listings that were purchased in each order that was placed. Like you noticed, if someone buys 7 of one item and 1 of another, it will show that as 2 sales.

Re: Sales numbers for same product
Each variation is a separate product. When you sell one, you pay to relist it. If she bought 7 colors, that is 7 products.

Re: Sales numbers for same product
Thank you for your answer!
So etsy calculates, If the buyer choose quantity "7", it will be considered like 1 sell.
but if the person choose 7 differents products (colors etc) It will be 7 sales.
but finally the person buy one way or another, my fees are the same and since etsy don't consider 1 buyer = 1 sell, why they calculatesin this way?
the customer went with 7 articles and not 1. So I made 7 sells. Right?
It makes not really sens. Or I miss point

Re: Sales numbers for same product
Do you mean the sales number that shows on your shop front page? If so then that's just how it works. If buyer buys multiples of the same listing item then # of sales will go up by 1 on shop front. If they buy say 5 different listing items the number would go up by 5.

Yes, exactly, It's about it. But why? I mean I made 7 sells right? She payed for 7 items, I don't see the point.

Re: Sales numbers for same product
@papsatelier: The word "sales" on Etsy means different things in different places. Sometimes it means the number of orders, other times the total number of items.
