I have asked this question before but have not resolved after 4 years so trying again. Every time I run a sale, whether it is a % off or free domestic shipping, the sale ends on the date it's set up to end but still displays as being on sale (or free shipping) on each listing that was included in the sale prior to the end. When the item is purchased, it does not apply the sale to the item so that is working properly but there must be a way to ensure the sale display drops from the store automatically. In the past I had to go into each individual listing and save it again, and then it would drop from the displayed listing but with the new version of listing in Etsy, you can't even do that without making a change to the listing. As I have hundreds of items impacted most of the time, I don't have time to do this on each individual listing, and there must be a way to set up a sale so it automatically drops from the displayed item once the sale has ended. Anyone? Thank you!
Since you have a sale that is current, there is no way to figure out an answer to your question. You need to ask when the sale has ended and it is still displayed. This is probably something you will have to ask Etsy, but you will need to ask while the problem is evident.
You are running a 10% off sale which says it ends in one day.
Yes, Ithat is current but I also had a free shipping sale on select items that ended last week and I had to manually remove the free shipping tag from those items for it to fall off.
You have 483 items with a sale tag (shop home page > sections > sale) ... plus you have 88 items in your clearance section (no sale tag needed).

Yep, i. Do have a current sale that is different than the one I had last week for free shipping that has ended. In order to get the listing to not display free shipping any longer, i had to go into the items that were on sale and make a change to the listing before the “free shipping” tag would drop from the listings. Thanks
I just tested your shop. I put one item into my cart, which is currently on sale for 10% off. I got all the way to the last purchase step and it still reflects the 10% off sale. I was unable to recreate the issue you are experiencing. (did you start another sale after writing the above post, maybe?)
Yes, you can’t test it as I’ve already had to manually remove the free shipping tag from the items that were on sale last week to get rid of the tag after the sale ended. That is not the same sale as the 10% off I’m currentlyrunning. My question is about why it isn’t automatically dropping the sale display from the listing once the sale has ended. Thank you!

@NeedlepointResales you need to edit your shop announcement - "kitted" items (spelling) and the sale announcement is out of date.
Thanks for your suggestions but my announcement is current, i still have a sale on, it’s just a different one than i had last week and that prompted my inquiry. PS,the term “kitted” is the correct term commonly used in the community for whom my store is targeting, and is not a typo but thanks anyway.
@NeedlepointResales: As others have mentioned, it is hard to help you diagnose the problem if you have started another sale in an item where the previous sale has supposedly ended. Out of curiosity, why would an item be on sale again when the previous sale just ended?
I have been running a storewide sale (except clearance items) all week AND I offered free shipping just on patriotic designs for a few days around the 4th of July. That said, i often run sales back to back focused on specific designers or themes, which i advertise on social media in needlepoint group. All very common practices in the needlepoint community.
I was hoping for advice from someone who maybe experienced this issue before more than looking for help diagnosing the cause after the fact. Oh well… i guess I will have to just carry on for now. Thx anyway.
