Etsy tells me that I am shipping without a tracking number and takes away points on my Star seller.
I Always have tracking numbers and ship on time!
I can not ship without a tracking number - I used an integrated shipping program to purchase and print my shipping labels - All of which Have tracking numbers.
What is going on with this Etsy? This has happened 3 times now, without just cause!
@deemarie13 @TheTextileTrunk : If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. An unvalidated tracking number equals shipped with no tracking.
How long ago did you ship? Have the packages been scanned? Often the CSV file is often behind reality. If there are no other issues and the order shipped on time, usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status and the Star Seller stats auto update (but not retroactively).
This also just happened to us. I looked at the spreadsheet and compared it to our records and Etsy has it wrong. I just asked them to correct. Hopefully this will help?
Add your shop location which is a help in answering questions plus required by Etsy.
Does this system enter the tracking number into the order or do you have to do it manually? Is the tracking number seen on the order? Is this service one that Etsy can track with Aftership?
Some systems cannot be tracked by Aftership.
Are your items getting scanned by the post office within your processing time frame? If the item is not accepted within the processing time frame that can lead to failure as well. In the US we need to show the item has been accepted by the shipper within the processing time frame.
Sounds like a glitch in program communication. Report it to Etsy again. Would it be beneficial to report it to the other company too in case the issue is on their side? If time allows, in the mean time it may help to automatically check the tracking numbers to insure they are transferring into Etsy's system. I'm sorry to hear you are having to deal with this.
