I need a definite answer on wether or not a customer can leave a review if you choose the “seller declines sale” option. I have encountered a customer who I know it will not be wise to continue forward with a sale. I have not shipped it yet and would like her money sent back to her and don’t want her purchasing from me. I have been unable to get a definitive answer. Once I hit the decline sale button, is she able to leave a review and is she notified that I declined the sale? Thank you.
If you use the "Cancel" option first, it refunds in the same step. It has been observed, that depending upon the time frame - if it's still before your shipping date - the Buyer will not be able to leave a review. I've seen this happen as a Buyer myself, when the Seller didn't have the item, and cancelled my order. I thought to look, and there was no option to leave feedback.
Now, there's a thing where the feedback window only opens for received orders after the longest estimated arrival date. So who knows, but for sure I suggest you use the one-step cancel option.
If you fully refund and also cancel the buyer can leave a review until the cancellation is finished processing.
The cancel option, used first, refunds in full, and it's immediate.
