I'm receiving an error that something went wrong when trying to upload a finishing digital design to a custom order that I have. I've tried both JPEG and PDF files, and neither are working.
I’m also unable to upload a custom digital file for a buyer and received a red banner error at the top of the screen.
I tried two browsers, both up to date, Chrome and Firefox . I cleared my browser cache, history, etc.. Tried signing out and signing back in.
In the meantime, I ended up sending a download link to the buyer.
Unfortunately, without being able to upload the digital file to Etsy, the made-to-order digital order can’t be marked as shipped.
I’ve had the same trouble, I can send images one by one, but not zip files, it looks really unprofessional, sending files 3 at a time, very frustrating
I've been having issues with this for the last 3 hours as well. I'm glad to know it's a site issue and not just my computer. I think there are Solar Flares happening this week, so maybe that is why Etsy is having issues? Reddit was also having problems for a few hours.
Same. Tried repeatedly to upload finished orders the same way I always do and it will not take them. (Size is definitely not the issue.) It just acts like I didn't select anything, tells me I must attach at least one file, and then I get a red error at the top saying something went wrong and to try refreshing. And, yes, we probably can email the files via etsy messages, but if I do that, my clients are unlikely to ever come back and download the "real" files and that means they will not be able to leave feedback for their orders.
On the one hand, I'm glad it's not just me, but on the other hand...
I'm a bit surprised that Etsy does not provide any status update to this at all..
I'm not. Etsy doesn't care much about us digital sellers.

When I chatted with Etsy they wrote back this partial message,

They need to reach out to our buyers explaining this is NOT an issue with the seller. Will they do that? I've made many custom digital orders and never had this happen before.

Looks like they have a lot to hide and be ashamed of with what they are doing to sellers and buyers. In fact I asked the "chat" person if I could share the removed text and was told it is okay to do that.
Removed? That suggests that a forum admin has visited this thread and is reading the comments.

I asked if I could be given something I could tell the buyers about the upload issue but no suggestions just silence. I asked if they would post something in the forums so sellers and buyers could learn something about what is going on and after 3 days you see no posts about this from Etsy. I have a paid order that will not upload and have sent multiple pics showing the repeated failure but again more silence from the marketplace. Etsy what are we supposed to do?
I still have not able to upload any digital files and in turn, I can't mark the made-to-order digital order as complete.
I tried the complete order button via the order (bottom of side panel), the drop down menu (top of side menu), and via the update progress button on the order page. Nothing worked. Same red banner error message.
I was able to upload my digital file to Etsy today and mark order as complete. Thank you!
I have been experiencing the same error for the last two hours. I'm glad I'm not the only one.....I was starting to get worried.
Can't complete custom order as I'm getting an error message saying you must upload one file even though my file is only 5MB (with the normal allowance of 80MG) and I also tried to upload a PDF with a google drive link.
Have never had this issue before and I can't even find a way to contact support on chat. How will we know when the issue has been resolved?
And now I got an email that 'We're still processing your order'. Has anyone received an order since this problem began?

Interesting note - received an order right when I noticed the problem but none since.
I finally got through text chat (by clicking the "problem with an order button" after the "seller" button just took me back to Q&A over and over). The second support person I spoke with told me that Etsy's engineers are aware of the problem and are working on it.
I mentioned that it might help if someone from Etsy actually commented on these threads and I even gave them a link to two of the active threads currently discussing this issue. The chat support person gave me a very polite and agreeable reply, but I'm not holding my breath. I've been waiting for THREE WEEKS for an email from their "support engineers" (on another issue) and the way they seem to have handled my complaints is to remove the text chat button from my dashboard so I can't contact them again.
(Those of you who have asked, "Is there really no way for sellers to contact this company for support?!", there's your answer.)
I have received 8 new orders since the glitch started.. so definitely still getting orders but worried I should just go into vacation mode until this is fixed because I don't want to be refunding $600 worth of stuff that is already done...
Same here! Waiting for this to be fixed asap... or else i'm going to get some bad reviews of how it took me so long to upload lol
