This morning I was looking at several items - in different categories - on my iPad (Safari) but there was no option for quantity in the listing, or in my cart. The only way I was able to add additional items was to return to the listing each time I wanted to increase the number. The price in the cart and the shipping increased with each addition, but there was no other indication of the quantity. The edit (pencil icon) appears in the cart, but there is no box for quantity beside it.
Everything is normal on my desktop (Chrome) for both quantity variations in the listing and edit quantity in cart.
@bohemians: This has recently been reported a number of times in this forum. If the item is $20 USD or more Etsy intentionally hides the quantity selector on the listing. For other listings, this appears to be device / browser related.
@BagmakerSupply I did look for a previous posts on the topic ... but I never have much luck. I usually try to catch this type of thing when it's discuss ... but do miss some important ones.
Thanks for your response though ... I appreciate it. I'll use my desktop for ordering supplies in future. Funny (not funny) because it was bag supply items I was looking at.
Are you finding this affects you as a supply seller? It sure doesn't seem very intuitive for buyers need/want multiples.
@bohemians: It is so hard to have any confidence in cause and effect correlations on Etsy, but it certainly cannot help. We do get a fair number of the "do you have more" Messages when there are clearly multiple packs of the $20 plus item available. More irritating is that item descriptions with links to other packs sizes are not always easy to find. Fortunately many of our regular customers know to ask for custom quantity packs and not rely on Etsy's availability counts.
