I've added a new photo and wording changes to a listing and when I hit "Publish Changes" a message pops up asking, "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" The options are Stay on Page or Leave Page. I click Stay on Page.
I have tried over and over and don't want to loose the changes. This happened a few weeks ago, I kept trying and finally published the changes. Today I walked away for a while, came back and still will not publish the changes.
I'm using Safari as my browser, have for years. Please help.
Sounds like another etsy gremlin...
I don't now if this will help or not. But try doing a preview and then publishing from that screen (and cross your fingers at the same time). May not work, but worth a try...
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it a couple of times, still did not work. My listing is still in limbo.
Well, I decided to leave the page then go back in and make the three changes one at a time. When I opened the listing again it was changed!!! Crazy, I've wasted a lot of time on the stupid pop up.
I've had that happen from time to time. I've never figured out if it's an Etsy glitch or something else ... browser, internet, etc.
I usually end up losing my changes when it happens. I've started to publish more complex listings (e.g. those with variations) at intervals to prevent losing everything.
Go back to the Old Listing version.
There's a time lag. Last night I rearranged the images on an active listing, basically giving it a new thumbnail image, but when I published it, the live listing still showed the old thumbnail. I refreshed the page several times but it still the old one showed. I checked again this morning and it's updated now.
I use Safari and get that every time I first open the listing page each day. Once you’ve clicked ‘leave page’ once it doesn’t appear again until the next time you first log in. It does save all the edits you’ve made so go ahead and click.
