I've been trying to open a second shop for over a week now. I get as far as entering bank details and then it falls over. The problem appears to be on Etsy's end. The name on my bank account is supposed to be auto-populated from the personal details I entered earlier, but it isn't working, picking up only my forename and providing this message.
Not to get all matchy-matchy, but the name on your bank account needs to be the same as the name you entered above.
I can't edit it directly, I just get sent back to the earlier section. I have of course tried to contact Etsy Support, but so far I've had,
Each message has come from a different person, none of them seem to have read the messages I've sent, and it takes at least two days to get a response. I'm now getting very frustrated and wondering if I did the right thing coming back to Etsy after four years away.
How do I get past the first line of incompetents staffing Etsy 'Support'?
Is it just me, or is it deeply ironic that one of these forums is called"Providing Great Customer Service"?
I've raised this before, but my post vanished into limbo.I can find it if I search, but it never appeared in the list of discussions, hence this is v2

Nobody seems interested, including Etsy Support, but just in case, anyone else experiences the same issue, here's my workaround, which seems to be holding for now.
Because my surname was not being picked up when populating the bank details, I added it to the forename field, which was accepted and I could move on. When it came to verification, this meant my surname was duplicated, Fortunately, I was able to edit that data so that my full name matched that on my Drivers' Licence. From there on, everything seems to be working.
I still find it unacceptable that an issue which is rooted in a problem with site design, not a lack of understanding on my part, has been ignored for two weeks by Etsy Customer Support. Any shop owner ignoring their customers like that would be liable to have their shop suspended. This is double standards.
Just an update - the problem is still not dealt with. It's been ten days since I last contacted Etsy, asking the to escalate the issue to someone who can actually deal with it.
Ask @ModJose or @ModKenneth for help.
