Price shows differently

Hi guys,

I have the problem that my product got shown in etsy for example for 29 euros. But when you put it in the basket it shows 24,50 which is the price I did. I understand that the gap is what we called in Germany the Mehrwertsteuer (19%). Its a Tax in germany. My question is how can i make that etsy shows the real price for the customers and not only when they put it in the basket. I chatted the support but since 1 week no reply

The listings shows +VAT because it ships from outside the EU. As per EU law Etsy has to collect VAT on EU orders when the item ships from outside the EU, and has to show the listing price including VAT.

In cart, the listing then shows the price you set, because the VAT is now the TAX line, over on the right under the item price, before the subtotal.

I see, but there is no way for example to change this settings? For example in my product cost i already inclueded this VAT. Or can I just as alternative lower the price?

Its not a setting, so you can't change it.

It's EU law, and etsy complying with that law.

I have no idea how that works if you are VAT registered and required to charge VAT.
