Post to Social media button greyed out

I know there was a post regarding Etsy working on the problem with posting directly to Social Media but it seems this post is now archived.

Can anyone tell me if a fix is ongoing as neither my husband or I are able to post to Pinterest as the button for posting is greyed out and there is no option to post to different boards on either Pinterest page that we have.

Hi Roisin,

I don't use social media.  But have seen other Threads where people can't paste to Facebook, etc.  This has been going on for quite some time; from what I've seen the workaround is to post your listing URL or Shop URL directly to the social media site *(someone correct me if wrong).

I've never used the app. If you ARE using it, try a browser instead.  Make sure browsers, everything is updated.  (I always use the same desktop computer, Chrome, Windows 10 for everything).

I know the 'archived" Thread you speak of. 
One of mine (beginning in April), was "archived" yesterday (coincidentally the on/off "issue" came back today  (after this issue was gone for approx. 6 days).
A lot of glitches around here as well.

Perhaps everything is fine and working for you now.  If it isn't, here is a Thread similar to yours.  I don't know if you are using the app (I've never used it).

Thanks for that information. Both my wife and I have different browsers and neither are working but I saw someone suggesting Firefox. The url workaround is a bit convoluted but it may come to that!! Food for thought ... but I wish Etsy would just fix the problems! Many thanks
