I being a new seller my orders have all gone off in lightning speed I even payed for tracking to an order for Singapore at a large cost to myself and no profit .
also I donated products to a touch by message .
I reply straight away and inform people I have posted
So I don’t know why I am showing 85% and not 100% on the star seller chart .
when we are giving away free post and in my case 1St class surely we don’t need to pay for tracking on every order
Many Thanks for your time
Hello @Copelincraft,
We've double-checked the order that has affected your Star Seller, and it appears that it doesn't have a valid tracking number. As a seller from the United Kingdom, please know that orders amounting to £10 and above needs to have a valid tracking number, for them to count positively towards your Star Seller. For more information about this, you may check out this Help Article.
Thank you very much!
To meet the star seller criteria, if that is important to you, yes, tracking is required on all orders, not just some. It also becomes almost impossible if tracking isn’t free and you sell small inexpensive items. Which is a catch 22 for non US sellers.
That is true about the catch 22. I'm a Canadian seller and sell many small items that I ship via letter mail for as little as $2.00. If I shipped via parcel so that there would be tracking, the cost can be as much as $25 for same item.
You don't need tracking on orders under £10 in the UK for star seller
For the UK, all orders* over £10 require tracking or purchase of an etsy label.
*orders actually being item price before discounts, not including shipping or tax
Thanks for your help I was also told by my post office you have to have signed tracking which makes it harder if the customer works, also is very expensive on top of all the other free gift nice packaging and free post
I would suggest you take a look at your costs and income and work out if free gifts and free postage are working for you. You need to have your prices at a point where it's worth your while producing your products and selling them. What that point is is your decision, of course. But if you're not making the profit you are comfortable with from each sale, you need to re-evaluate.
