I was wondering if anyone else has issues with packages not arriving. When I check on the status, it says moving and will arrive late. But most of the time, it's been over a month or more. I usually give a refund or send another item. It happens maybe 2-3 times every 6 months. Any advice?
When that happens, I call my local postmaster as soon as I am aware of it and ask her to look into it. That almost always gets it moving again in a day or two. I try to keep track of my orders freqently to make sure they arrived so I am aware of it before it's been a whole month.
Now, I would file a lost package claim if it was insured.
For some reason, Etsy fails to update the tracking status for some packages. I had a bunch of "in transit" packages that were actually delivered a while ago. Try using carrier's tracking system to manually check them.
How are you shipping ... which service level?
Your local USA post office can flag the item-- they need the tracking number- but they can do it and get it re routed.
What works for me is to sign up for either email or text updates on the USPS web site.. it is like it shows that someone is watching and it always gets the package moving again. I would not let it go a month tho. I didn't look to see what country you are in.. in the USA-- I would let it go Maybe 7-10 days at the most.
Note also that Etsy has not been good about updating our listings on where the item is in the USPS system.. I have many that show in transit-- when I get to the USPS web site- they show delivered and in many cases the customer has left feedback already. So always check USPS first. And note that USPS has GPS to where they leave the package- in case you ever need to know.
Check with the postal supervisor to see why. File with USPS to find out why your packages are going missing.
Could be the way you packed them. It could be what the item is makes it attractive to theft.
I have no idea what your item is. Not description. No title. No sizing information. No tags. It's a little hard to go further without enough information.
