Please let us know you’re a human??

Out of nowhere, suddenly Etsy will not let me sign into either of my 2 shops on my desktop computer - when I try to log in I get a pop-up message saying “Please let us know you’re a human” but there are no other prompts, there is nothing to click on, no field to enter any data, absolutely nothing I can do to prove that I’m human - it has just locked me out of my shops. 
This is completely ridiculous. Can this be looked into?

There should be a small box pop up with a place to "tick" or click. IF not you may need to clear your cache/history/cookies. OTherwise try a different browser.

I keep getting that now when I sign in to eBay.   I think it is funny that a robot wants to know that I am a human! LOL

Yes there was just a pop-up message and no place to tick or click - but it seemed to resolve in my other shop after clearing my cache etc - (thank you for the advice!)

I agree, it is ironic and eerie being asked to prove my humanity by AI!

My mother was having a problem with this, we have two shops. Etsy security didnt like all the logging in and out between two shops.  The Prove you are Human would not accept her answers.

Two fixes;

Clear your cache, cookies especially. THEN

A) have two difference web browsers on your device, (chrome, firefox, etc),one for each Etsy shop. Then you can be logged into 2 shops at the same time, no more logging in and out.

OR

B) Chrome on Desktop (doesnt work on phones or tablets) has a feature called Profiles, you can create different profiles for people in your household, or use it to have TWO profiles, one for each Etsy shop. That also enables you to be logged into two or more shops at the same time. Name the profiles, pick an icon, and color scheme to make it easier to tell them apart.

I do BOTH of the above, A) on my tablet and B) on my laptop

It's been happening a few times, and the feeble explanation they provide is that my Java Script is behaving strangely. Opening a different browser seems to be working for me, for now.

I refuse to play AI's sick games and prove anything to it. Unfortunately, it seems to be in control of almost everything now. I think this is a test to see how we react, and also a way to "train" us to follow directions. There is a box where you can leave a comment -- we can confuse it by behaving in unpredictable ways.
