Please Etsy, Fix the Code for Adjusting Thumbnails

Is it just an indexing lag or is it a coding issue?
My thumbnails never keep when listing new items. I have to keep trying to Edit it.
Please please fix this issue Etsy, it is a longstanding one and is occurring still, even in the new(oldish now) listing form too.

I have not had any issues with thumbnails.  After I hit save or publish, whatever the wording is in the thumbnail area, it keeps what I have done.

Perhaps the issue lies with the photos not being landscape or square photos?  That makes a difference which area the thumbnail hits.

Same. Thought it was my old laptop, but replaced and issue persists. So annoying. It eventually complies, but takes multiple attempts and waste of my time. I list on Poshmark and have NEVER had an issue with their template.

It finally updated, seems to be a display lag.

I've never had any problems either. I also edit my photos on my computer before I load them. My photo editing program is where I make my photos square.

It started a few years ago, taking its time to index.
It is not an issue whether the images were square or not, that is not the issue, that I know.

It's been a problem for literal years. People have BEGGED for them to fix it again and again and again.

Etsy doesn't seem to have an interest in fixing it.

Now I just take photos in the rectangular format already placed in the middle at the size I want them because I don't want to be continually p!ssed off by this issue over and over again.

I take my photos in landscape mode and do my cropping, etc. before uploading the pics to Etsy. They work 99.5% of the time.

Uploading a square image then adjusting it is not working either. Uploading an exact crop of the square image you want, is the only solution right now, which defeats the purpose of even Having an "adjust thumbnail" function.

Chat have just told me that Etsy are aware of the issue and are working on it but currently 'don't have a timeline for a fix'...
