Pick up orders impact shipping badge and overall star seller

I have done some pick up orders and will continue to do so. The infrastructure is there to select order complete, no tracking, pickup. I have done this each time, however the shipping badge is lowered because I did not provide tracking for these orders. Can this be adjusted?

From the star seller info in the help centre:

"What if I offer local pick-up or delivery for my items?

At this time, orders that don't have tracking because they are delivered or picked up in person will be considered shipped without tracking, and will not meet the Star Seller criteria for shipping."

No adjustment possible.  Etsy tells us that local delivery without tracking will show up as not tracked.  Ding!

From our Star Seller page: "If you mark an order as complete without adding tracking, it does not meet the requirement for Star Seller."

And is there for a completely different purpose, not for Star Seller.

This happened to me too. I have another order and will deliver it since it’s on my town.  This is extremely unfair! You are penalized for doing a great job:(

Fairness has nothing to do with it.  Local pickups cannot be verified as delivered, so they do not count for Star Seller, despite the fact that they are essentially a customer service feature.  Etsy needs verifiable data that shows the required delivery standards. 

That said, if you are in the US, there is a loophole that will work (at least until Etsy decides to close the loop).  Using Etsy labels always counts as proof of delivery, so when you do an in person delivery or pickup have the buyer sign a receipt for the goods, then purchase an Etsy label for a stamped letter (around 60c), and use that label to send the buyer a copy of the signed receipt. Etsy will accept this as delivered.
