Payment Showing as "In Process" – What Should I Do?

Jump to solution

A customer placed an order and told me she has already made the payment, but I haven’t received it yet. In my Etsy order section, the payment status is still showing as "in process."

Should I wait until the payment is completed, or is it okay to ship the product now?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Like @cindylouwho2  said, do not ship it yet. Never ship a processing order. You have high price items, you can lose all the money. Most orders process within 72 hours but sometimes they take longer. Your customer and you will get a confirmation email and you see the funds in your payment account.

When high-priced items like yours has "payment processing" there can be a good chance it is because they are using a stolen credit card.  If so, it won't clear, and the sale will be canceled by Etsy.  If you shipped you would lose it all.  Wait until it shows up in your Orders on your Shop Manager page.

Don't ship yet! It may not clear (although in my experience, most do go through).

Etsy should have sent the customer an email telling them payment was pending. Tell them to check their spam folder.

Found that a scam.
Buyer just try to scam. She paid through a fake credit card and waiting for shipment.
Etsy canceled that order.

You are right. Buyer paid through fake card details. Etsy just canceled her order.

Hoi,
I have the following.
Last Wednesday I also received an email from Etsy that the order still has to be processed. With the advice not to send.
But the amount is in my account.

Do you always get an email when they approve the order or only in case of fraud.

Thanks in advance for the advice.
