PHOTOS STILL MESSED UP ON LAPTOP VIEW

My shop still looks awful on the computer screen with some photos cropped oddly to fit the new square format, while others are elongated rectangles that fully or partially block the item title underneath.  I had hoped they were still working on it and that my laptop view of my shop would at least eventually show all of them cropped equally.  Everything looks ok on the phone app, even if some of the cropping to square is not ideal. Is this the new normal?

@DesperatelyCreative  Your photos look normal to me.  Which photo looks odd to you?

@DesperatelyCreative: Since others are seeing your photos "normally" there are at least two other possibilities - a browser specific (probably CSS) issue or your browser's cache has not updated some files from Etsy (try a <CTRL><F5>). It may also be that the Etsy server you are connected to is serving old or in-error files (different users may be served by different Etsy servers).

Your photos are fine.  The photos that are cropped only show in your shop.  The photos used in search are the ones in your listings.

Re: PHOTOS STILL MESSED UP ON LAPTOP VIEW

I am sooo annoyed with this random redo that is causing the photos I carefully cropped to be too large in my shop!!!!  Is anyone else having trouble figuring out how to adjust their photos to fit the newly dictated shape?  I thought I had "fixed" a few and when I checked they looked the same.  It would have been nice to have received an email with a warning about the new shift and a how to on how to fix the photos!  As a small business owner I do NOT need this extra busy work!!!  Does anyone have a simple fix?  I notice no one from Etsy has replied to the many complaints on the forums!

Re: PHOTOS STILL MESSED UP ON LAPTOP VIEW

As I learned from someone else in the forum (sorry forgot their name), but:

delete & reload your first image, and adjust your thumbnail from there if needed.

That has worked for me when the image has been weirdly cropped in the new format.

Isn't it ridiculous that we have to figure out these workarounds for etsy glitches?

Re: PHOTOS STILL MESSED UP ON LAPTOP VIEW

Yes, I'm having the same issue as you are. I don't know how to fix it either. I have an old laptop that shows fine, but with my newer one, it's messed up. Others are seeing your shop perfectly fine although I am able to see your issue. I'm sure there are other people seeing this also. It makes it a deterrent to shop this way. Not all shops are like this though. I had mentioned in previous posts about this happening before in June but it was fixed the next day. Now it's back and it's been weeks. If you figure out how to fix it, please let me know. I know some have mentioned maybe it has something to do with updating on the computers, but I have 2 and I avoid updating both. One is fine while the other is whack.

Thank you everyone for sharing what you are seeing on my shop.  I am relieved to know that everything looks ok to some of you.  I will look into updating.
