When I sort orders by Dispatch date, the date on the order shows a day later than the actual shipping date.
So im working on a 3 day turnaround and orders placed today (15th Jan) should be due for dispatch on 20th Jan yet when sorted by dispatch date it comes up with 20th at the top but next to the order it says 21st Jan
Ive tried setting up new shipping profiles but the issue persists.
@TheBeehiveHandmade: Don't know if this applies to your situation, but we have noticed that there are many date display inconsistencies, seemingly caused by differing time zone conversion routines. We often see that (particularly late in the day) orders will show the same date differently in different areas on the same page.
Oh wow! I havent consciously noticed that so will keep an eye out but I suspect it could be the same thing
I'm having this same issue. Is there a place to change time zone in the account settings? I have looked, but haven't found it yet.
The 20th of January is a postal holiday for USPS for Martin Luther Kings’s birthday, as Etsy is now recognizing that fact, they have moved the date for you.
This has been going on since November so Public holidays have no bearing on it. All my orders are UK based so again would have no bearing on it
@TheBeehiveHandmade -- Is it possible your order is to a US Address? January 20th is a US federal holiday AND is also the US Presidential Inauguration Day for Donald J Trump ... there will be no mail services that day! An order received today, with a 3 day processing, will automatically have Tuesday Jan 21 as the assigned shipping day, but of course you are welcome to ship any day before then. I do fully realize you are based in the UK; however this particular day's events may affect many things all around the world, including shipping.
@TBQSC: The original poster is referring to the issue where a date is displayed incorrectly - not that the date is wrong. We often enough see that the ordered date, for example, will be display as both today and tomorrow on the same order probably because different time zone conversion routines are used in different places on the same page.
All my orders are going to the UK and UK shipping is never affected by US public holidays as Etsy pulls the shipping data from the country relevant to where you are sending the item too
There are some holidays that will affect your shipping date, you just need to make sure that your customers' orders are shipped on time.
As ive previously stated its nothing to do with public holidays and this was an issue way back in November. My orders are shipped on time but the double shipping date is frustrating/confusing
