When I select I made it from scratch, immediately after I click to go down the list, the button unselects itself and doesn't save.
I've tried on chrome and safari.
It also won't allow changes, for example from "It's an item that my shop alters" to "I made it from scratch".
Changes won't save.
It saves with only two lines of information instead of three.
I can still publish the listing which is weird.
You too ?
@TheSausage Yes happened to me for curated goods on chrome. It only saves the time frame when it was made, and if I select a tool used it will save that. It started over the weekend for me, but I just noticed the glitch this morning when I went to review a new listing I added over the weekend. I tried to report to chat support but they are unresponsive. The automated bot wasn't even responding.
It's so annoying! I listed in another shop and it's happening there too. I can only list the date and the tools and sometimes it doesn't even save that. Argh !
@TheSausage I received an email from Etsy support. To make it short, it's apparently a validation error which is triggered when there is information entered in the listing form that doesn't match what the system expects to be entered. The engineers are aware. It has to do with attributes, which when I corrected/deleted I still couldn't complete core details. (If you send an email, you'll get a reply of steps to take like I did). Unfortunately, the steps didn't work for me but I'm going to review the listing again later and re-do the steps they suggest. As a side note, I'm assuming the email I received has to do with core details. There's no mention of "core details" in the email, and I didn't see a "validation error" which they said I am "seeing".
I think once you have selected a configuration in a listing, like "made between such and such dates" and "item that my shop alters", "hand tools" , the AI bots expect the listings for that date range to be ALL the same. It refuses to have Made from scratch for items for those dates because before you had selected something else. It has to do with the rigidity of the AI to accept preconceived information on the listing instead of being tweakable . So indeed I think the solution would be to start the whole listing over which takes a lot of time when you have variations, and not even sure it will solve the issue. It didn't in my other shop where I had not pre-entered anything. I'll wait a few days and try again.
same is happening with my new listing- the Apply button in core details doesn't do anything. Doesnt matter which option I select! Wont publish the listing.
Yes, exactly. Glad it's not only me.
@TheSausage One of the steps was to limit the number of words in all capital letters in your Title to three. I only see your two words in all caps but maybe that's an issue. Who knows. lol.
I NEVER could have more than three capital letter words. It's the LAW on etsy, lol. I hate it. I love capital letters. But I think Google also frowns on them so etsy does the same. On google your listings get flagged for "excessive capitalisation" lol. never mind
@TheSausage I know. I always seem to need 21 characters tags. lol. I think you're right about AI.
