Hi, I have received an order that is "marked as a gift", but this order also says "Gift Message Included" as well. I have that option turned off on my shop.
My issue is that this item will be going overseas and I need to turn the Marked as Gift off as need to print the invoice for customs, but it won't let me, there is no option to do this on it. I've tried on the actual item and also on the order page neither will allow me to do this.
How where they able to leave a gift message? and why can't the marked as gift be turned off please?
Many thanks
Mark as gift does nothing, it is just a heads up if the package is going directly to the gift recipient that you should not include pricing on the invoice (if you send one at all). If it is being sent to the buyer and not a third party you don't need to do anything.
Gift message included you can turn off, you might want to double check you have it set that way, if it is set correctly the buyer should not have the option to use it (although some will simply add the message in the Note to Seller section on the order). Again, if the delivery address is the buyer's address I would simply ignore it.
Hi, No normally I can unmark as Gift but the option for gift message is definitely switched off. It is going overseas so by UK Law we have to include a invoice. For some unknown reason this order won't allow me to switch of gift mode as they have left a gift message.
Unmark as gift is usually under the three dots where you print the packing slip. Is it no longer there?
Hi, no it's not there on this order? its available on all the other ones.
you can print a gift message under your order printing.
I normally ignore all 'gift' indications on my products if the ship to name is the same as the order name. Which it normally is...
I don't offer gift packaging, but have reactivated a gift card option. I will print on the invoice (or handwrite) but have added the gift card in case someone wants something fancier.
Hello, I got a new order "marked as a gift". When I checked the "Orders and Shipping" options, it shows normally "Ship to: x,"
So far, everything seems to be fine. However, I sent a message to the customer for final confirmation. During this process, I noticed something in the bottom right corner. When I checked the shipping options, I saw a different address appears under "Gift purchaser." So, which address should I ship to?
Since it is an international shipment, could sending it as a gift to the address cause any issues for me later on?
------Im a little bit confused , Of course, I couldn't receive a message from the customer, so I'm writing here.---------
