Order listed as late (but shipped 3 days early)

I received an order on 4/27 and shipped it on 5/2, which is 3 days before it was due to be shipped. It's currently listed as late and this is affecting my on-time shipping rate. How do I fix this?

Why is it listed as late? Did it say overdue in your orders or is it showing as late in your star seller?   Did you ship with tracking and have entered in the number?

It's not saying overdue in the orders, but just showing up as late in star seller. I entered tracking information and hit 'complete order', just as I always do.

Did you mark it as complete before the expected date, with the tracking number? That's the only way etsy's bots can verify you sent it on time.

Yes - did all of that. That's why I'm confused what happened.

Have you entered the tracking number? Or changed the order status to Complete?

I uploaded USPS tracking information after hitting "complete order", just like I always do. The strange thing is that I shipped two other orders at the same time, using the same method, and those are listed as shipped on-time. The tracking information is showing up in the order - it's just affecting my Star Seller statistics.

Does tracking show the package arrived late (past the EDD)?

Sometimes I’ll get an order that’s due to ship in 2 days but I ship it same day as I received the order.. and in the shipping screen it says that it will arrive late (customer expects x date) despite me sending it early via priority Mail (I make candles and the weight is cheaper to send priority padded envelope vs ground) and yet it’s labeled as late. Yet within the star seller shipping I have 100%, so idk if that is what you’re seeing. But for me at least it doesn’t affect the star seller shipping status.

OP, USPS recycles tracking numbers and you may have one that was recently used for someone else's package. Make an inquiry with Etsy chat during business hours and see if you can resolve this one issue.

We've double-checked the order you received last April 27, 2023, and we can confirm that the tracking number you've initially added was incorrect. As a result, the tracking number can't also be tracked on the carrier's website. 

But since the tracking number has been rectified, the tracking events are now showing on Etsy and your On-Time Shipping metric is at 100%. We strongly recommend checking the carrier and the tracking number, and make sure they are correct. If any of the information is incorrect, this will count as an invalid tracking number. You can check our help center article explaining how to add or edit a tracking number.
