I just placed an order for something and received the standard "Thanks for your order #whatever. A confirmation will be sent to your email." Well, the confirmation didn't come through, but I did immediately receive an email sending me back to the merchandise "waiting" in my cart. I paid for it and have a confirmation and thank you response from Etsy, like ALWAYS. Why is the item still showing in my cart and why did I not received the standard email confirmation, but instead a marketing email? It went through just fine and I have been doing this since 2017, so no issues with payment processes. Definitely a glitch. I contacted the shop I purchased from and gave them the order number, but you need to look into this please.
Look at your purchases on Etsy
NanaLetha, I did and it shows now, but hadn't at the time of my post. Seller also confirmed they have the order. It was just concerning to receive a marketing email and still see the item in my basket. I opened up other browsers and same thing - hence the post.
I'd wait a few hours.
Sometimes I think Etsy has time warps.
I agree - I worked on a new listing, published it - and it was nowhere to be found. Sometime later, there it was. Other things have been slow to appear as well - thumbnail adjustments, for example.

Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy moderators do sometimes read and reply to posts).
I get purchase confirmation emails from Etsy, at best, about half the time.
