Order Failed to Submit/Process

Today, a repeat customer tried to place an order as a guest. His credit card was approved, but the order would not be submitted. The product he ordered showed that it was a rare find in one person's cart when I attempted to start the purchase process. He said he tried 5 times to buy through Etsy but failed. What is going on? Could this also be a problem with 17 items in abandoned carts in my store and one day, they all disappeared? How many orders have I not received due to technical issues? I can't find a way to contact support directly. Does anyone have a clue as to what might be going on?

Not necessarily an Etsy glitch ... sounds more like the buyer CC was declined ... stolen #, expired card, no funds available, etc.  Buyer will need to contact Etsy directly to figure it out because sellers are not privileged to that info due to privacy reasons.  As for the cart removals, Etsy clears all carts at least once a month.  To contact support for any issues, use the "contact us" link under your HELP tab in shop manager.  Good luck!
