I did not get an email from Etsy on an order. I remember from the forums that this happened a while back. Not in my spam, trash, archive, or inbox. Sent Etsy and email asking about this. It is in the order section on Etsy and got the cha-ching from the app.
Wondering if anyone else was dealing with this.
Maybe...since I do not get too many orders...I broke Etsy when I got this order.

As long as the order showed up as paid in my orders and payment account ... I'd treat it like any other order.

us too. sometimes we get emails for several orders in a row, then not. Can't rely on email notification anymore,have to check the site.
My order emails are sporadic.
Never used to be that way.
I don't depend on the emails for the info anymore.
This started happening to me last Oct. I maybe get one notice for every 10 or so sales. I think it is something they are not going to fix.
I haven't received any emails from Etsy since January 9th of this year.
No order emails, no shipping emails, no payment on the way emails, no purchase emails, nothing.
A couple of weeks ago, I went into Etsy's settings, and I clicked to receive any and all types of email messages that Etsy sends out.
Still nothing, nothing in spam, nothing anywhere.
I used to get them, not sure why they've stopped.
Same for me. It's been over a year since I stopped receiving all emails from Etsy. When I spoke to them they said I should change my email to a new address. They said it was yahoo's fault. I am reluctant to change my email. Yahoo said it wasn't on their end.
I have Yahoo on 2 of my shops. This one I don't even check for emails and on the other shop I get an email about every 15 or 20 sales.
I would certainly never depend on emails to run my shops! I check in at least 1 time a day every day.
I've never relied on emails for my shop...even when I got emails. I use my shop dashboard for the information about sales.
I tend to ignore emails from Etsy. Used to get order notifications, but haven't gotten any in a couple of years. They stopped about the time I started getting the notifications I had opted out of and not getting the notifications I'd opted into receiving. I don't ever rely on Etsy for information. I rely on my on my own diligence and my friends in the forums.
Not getting them for orders is one thing, I always check my dashboard here, so not really an issue.
Not getting them for purchases is a bit different; I wonder how many buyers are not receiving them, either, when they make a purchase.
Last week I bought--IDK--5-6 purchases--supplies that I usually purchase ongoing. I got transaction emails for 2 of them--Had to go check the dropdown to see if they actually went thru--they did. But NO email from Etsy confirming my orders.
The last time I got one notifying me of a sale was mid-January, despite having many sales since then. I just assumed they stopped sending them

I get all my emails from Etsy, but I've had quite a few occasions where my website doesn't notify me about a sale. It pays to stay diligent and check your shop daily. Good luck.

I have my Etsy shop up all day long on my laptop. Using social media and such. I won't miss a sale. Especially when the app cha-chings. I will let everyone know what Etsy says when they answer my email.
I can see it now...first one the canned response. I respond back.
2nd one someone who does not know what to say. I respond back.
I say something they cannon answer, never to hear from Etsy again.
Update...this is just plain crazy.
I sent the email to Etsy to tell them I did not get the email. I am not going to copy as Etsy will just remove the post. So I will just paraphrase.
Etsy: they told me to check to make sure my email was correct an a article with a list of things to check.
Me: I told them I had already met all the criteria and still no email.
Etsy: provided me info on the sale.
Me: I told them I could get this info from the dashboard. That the issue was that I did not receive the email.
Etsy: they said they checked my account and I am all ready to receive emails. That servers sometimes filter emails. Then they sent another confirmation email to my customer.
Me: I told them servers do not filter out emails, and that they should not have sent the customer another email. As the customer is probably thinking I sent the second email and that is going to make them mad. I told them the issue was that they did not send the emails to me. That I never said anything about them not sending an email to the customer.

Did support tell you to change your email address? That's what they told me to do...which I didn't want to do.
@boygirlboygirldesign they did not tell me that, only to verify that it was correct.
I am waiting to see if I hear from them again...usually at this point they stop sending me emails.
I only get the emails sporadically, so I do not depend on the them to let me know if I have new orders or messages from customers. I make sure to check my app regularly. It's been an issue for a few years, many sellers have the problem.
I have not had that happen and would hate if it did happen. Fingers crossed.
