Not receiving notificatons of message received - app or email

I received a message from a potential customer this morning but I did not get a notification on the app that I had a message.  I just happened to see it.  It didn't go to spam, it was in my inbox.  Also, I did not receive an email from Etsy that I had a message.  I replied to the person and they responded, and again I got no type of notification that they had responded.  I ALWAYS get notifications on the app when I have a message or reply and I get an email for each one - not getting either today.  Thanks!

Are you talking email?  You have email set up to notify you of messages?  I do and mine is working.

I don't use the app because it is so buggy.  I use desktop.  I still get the orange dot.   You may just have to check messages more often if you are not getting notifications.  If you don't have the email set up, that is a help and I do suggest it.

Email notifications have been set up for 3 years.  I like to know when I get a message so I can respond immediately (unless I'm packing orders).  I got a message a few minutes ago and everything seems to be working again.  Guess it was an Etsy glitch.

Etsy message notification has not worked properly in years. There are constant complaints in the forum about it.

You need to check your shop at least a couple of times a day or chance missing a message or even a sale.

Thanks - I'm in my shop all day shipping orders.  I just like to know immediately when I get messages so I can answer them.

I check in once or twice a day, to lurk, to add things/ updates, and most of all to make sure that a sale has not slipped down a rabbit hole and I have not been notified of it. Don't depend on messages apps or emails, check it at least once a day.Also check your spam folder daily to make sure no message has slipped in there either.

This happens to me too occasionally. I am unsure how to fix it. Just wanted to inform you this isn't only you.
