What's helped me with the editing issue is waiting a bit to redo an edit. I've waited about 15-30 minutes and then the edits have always taken. For me, this glitch has been improving over the past week. So I'm optimistic this is not a permanent problem.
Some things to check on your end too: Make sure the latest updates are done on a computer. Clear history. Try using another browser to see if the issue persists.
