Hello, I need some help. About three weeks ago I stopped getting the emails about sales. I lost almost $100.00 in sales because of this. I am seeing Convos from customers asking why I did not send their item and I didn't even know I had an order. I have been with Etsy since 2008 and never had any issues like this until early August 2023. Are any of you folks having this issue?? My sales notifications were coming through on both my emails. I have seen none of my orders in spam. Because of losing the last two orders in August, I was left 2 one star ratings and now my straight 5 rating has gone to a 4. There is no way I would ever intentionally not send an order or ignore a customer. Can anyone help me with this? Tonight I received a convo from a customer asking when will send out the vase she ordered. Again, no notification of a sale. I went straight to the main computer and quickly sent a message to the customer and packed the order. I know I need to check my computer daily and I have set up a system for that now but is there something I can do with my emails to be able to receive notices like I did before?

There was a similar issue a few months ago where no emails were being received by some sellers. Rule of thumb it is best to check into your app or shop at least once a day to make sure.
Maybe double check you preferences in your account
Yes, this has been known to happen.
I guess there's no point in saying now that you should be logging directly into Etsy to see what's happening with your shop... too many things can go wrong when you're depending on a 'third party' (your email) to notify you of sales...
It appears to be a weird glitch that other sellers have experienced as well. There doesn't appear to be a fix for it.
For future, should this happen again deal with the customer directly. Your reply to the 1* has now locked these in and the buyer will be unable to change them now.
You are responsible for your shop despite glitches that may arrive on Etsy, your replies to the reviews come across as shifting blame which would put me off as a potential customer and the customer is not a mind reader so calling out their review is unfair not the other way round. Your orders did arrive in your dashboard, the customer paid for the order and did not receive communication or the order that is what they reviewed.
Regarding the one star reviews... your buyers were reviewing their experience with you. It doesn't matter that others had given you five star reviews. For the buyers who purchased and didn't get their item, they felt the one-star review was appropriate. As much as I dislike the review system in general, I can't say their reviews were unfair.
While it's true that not getting an email about a sale is a glitch, it's never a good thing to not log directly into your shop. That being said, you're not alone. This has happened to other sellers. It's a pretty tough lesson about keeping a closer eye on your shop.
@PamelasTreasureCove Hi Pam, emails notifying me of orders stopped about a year or two ago. I contacted chat support back then and was told to check off my notifications in my account settings but that didn't change anything. You know now to check for orders daily along with checking your Finance > Payment Account. You have a beautiful vintage shop and I wish you well.
I stopped receiving emails about orders quite a while ago. I thought it was when the new app was launched because I stopped getting the cha-ching sound too. My account settings for notifications are set correctly. But I am online in my shop all day every day so I wouldn't miss new orders.
you can log into your shop from a browser on your phone, or the app on your phone, you don't need to go to a computer.
Emails do fail, some of the free e-mail systems are worse than others at not sending things through
You blame etsy for the glitch, but you don't know that, it could be your e-mail provider.
One reply says look - all my other replies are 5*, and directly underneath it, is a 1*
You need to reply to the review, to show your future customers you are in front of the game, and this problem won't happen again.
Something like
I realised too late that somewhere in the chain, e-mails stopped coming through for sale notifications, so from now on, I will be logging directly into my shop daily, to ensure I haven't missed notifications. I offered to send, or refund, depending on what the customer preferred.
You can't rely on Etsy emails - check your shop at least once a day. I get some but not all of the emails I am supposed to be getting - how can that be an issue on my end? This has been going on for years, and I went through all the back and forth with Support, with no fix.
Example - yesterday I had 6 sales, and received 2 transaction emails. I printed 6 labels, and received two shipping label emails. I did not get the email that my funds were being transferred. I'm seeing one convo email when I had 3 messages on Etsy.
I did receive an Etsy Sellers email offering advice on my shop, and 2 tracking emails (including the "Ding-dong" one) on an order I made as a Buyer.
So - tell me how that could possibly be an issue on my end, either with my Etsy account or my email settings?
I have 2 shops, this one is with my BT e-mail which comes with a paid-for service,
my other shop I set up with free aol mail - and I had problems with it, some came through, some didn't.
I can have a few BT e-mail addresses with my package, so I created another BT one, and used that in my other shop, and have had no problems since.
No emails for the last two orders. Only email received is when y
they notify buyer that item shipped. I like an email order notification.

I stopped getting them a year ago. Apparently tech is too busy causing other problems to worry about this.
For this shop I get all my Etsy emails like clockwork. In my other shop for some reason I only get about 20% of them. Same email settings on each account. Etsy support is no help. It has nothing to do with having a paid email account or a free one. You just have to log in to your shop at least once a day.
A long time ago I briefly had the problem, but it was my phone. Restarting the phone worked for me.
I started having this problem this week. I run two shops (very different products) so I rely on my email to be notified on both as there's no way to be logged into both at the same time on pc, whereas you can add multiple email accounts to your email app. The etsy mobile app also fails to notify one of my two shops ALL the time and so I've been relying on emails instead as they have been completely consistent for years.
I only saw I had orders because it's on that one shop that I get app notifications from. But when I went to look at my email to check what they bought and realized I hadn't gotten any.
I'm really annoyed for you and myself that ppl are saying "just check your shop" or whatever in the replies. That is not being helpful at all. And Etsy as usual does absolutely nothing.
@nunura: Not disagreeing with you at all, but missing notifications has been a long standing issue.
"there's no way to be logged into both at the same time on pc" Until Etsy implements a mechanism for this, you can log into each shop in a different browser so you do not have to keep logging out and in. This also helps reduce "cookie clash".
thank you
If Etsy won't or can't fix the issue, why are the IT wonderkids sitting on their hands? We are paying handsome fees for first class service!
I have been with Etsy for 12 years and have gotten every single email from every sale, until this week! Now I'm not getting any. So disheartened to hear this is a problem and Etsy won't deal with.
Why would anyone depend on Etsy to run their shop for them? No one should lose a sale because Etsy didn't send an email to them.
If you have a shop, you are responsible for it. That means you visit that shop at least once a day (most people do that 2-3 times a day at the least) to see what's going on.
You have to be present in an online store just the same as a brick and mortar (which no one would ignore for days on end) - you have to be there in a b & m and you have to be there online also.
Etsy sends emails as a courtesy - I don't even look for an email - I look at my shops.
