I’m no longer receiving emails or push notifications when someone sends me a message through Etsy.
Anyone else having this problem? Seems like it started in the last 24 hours or so.
I had one a few weeks ago. I looked on my phone in the morning and I thought it said sent 2 hours ago. Got on the computer and it was sent 22 hours ago. where was it all day?
I haven't received important email from etsy on over 3 years, they just don't care to fix the problem!
mine wasn't an email. it was right on etsy. message didn't show in my messages.
Every once in a while, Etsy will decide my email address is bad and they stop sending me various emails. To fix it, I have to go into my account and tell them it's fine. Have you checked your Account Settings and verified they still like your email?
My email still says “confirmed”.
Since I’m not getting push notifications from the app either, it seems to be something else.

It has been around for a lot longer than that for me. I had a sale and there were no details by email as I have had previously had. I only noticed it when I saw a 1 on my dashboard.
I am not getting notifications of messages either. I just logged on and saw a message from 23 hours ago. I too checked and my email is confirmed.
A week or so ago I had a message which didn't give an alert on my phone (they usually do). I check my three shops every day, so I still caught it, but it is annoying it didn't alert like it should.
Don't rely on email. It's best to come into the shop a few time a day at least.
At times there have been problems between servers. Email providers change protocol.
It can be anything.
That is why it is best to check a shop a few times during the day.
Absolutely agree. I never rely on just one method. Just thought it was odd that I wasn't getting emails or app notifications. 🤷🏻
I'm not getting notifications of either messages or sales. Not even the little orange dot. I just have to go in my dashboard and click on everything and have a look see to find them. This has been going on off and on for about 4-6 months now.
I don't rely on etsy email anymore but I would respond to customers quicker at times if I would get an email! I don't understand why Etsy doesn't fix this problem! Most of the world communicates via email! I even changed to gmail then those stopped after a month!
This is still happening. Just got notified (not by email, in the desktop browser) that I had a message from 19 hours ago. I check the website regularly, there was no notification there for a message yesterday.
I get that emails are too much to send even for orders (!!), let alone messages that we need to answer in 24 hours (!!!!), but not even a puny notification on desktop to be able to help folks who ask questions? Ugh...
Mine have just stopped suddenly within the last few days. I still get notifications about sales and Etsy's marketing emails but none for any new messages sent by customers or potential customers. Very strange!
