Not Accepting The Tracking Number

I just tried to complete a sale shipped by Canada Post and when I went to enter the tracking number it said it was not a valid Fed-Ex tracking number.  Checked on Canada Post's site and it is valid.  I finally ended up sending the tracking number in the comments section to the buyer.  First time I have encountered this glitch.  Anyone else had this problem?

Did you choose Canada post or FedEx as the supplier of the tracking number?  Sometimes that slips some when manually entering.  That is one reason for using Etsy labels or another service that automatically enters the tracking number.

It won't count for star seller if the tracking number is not in the right box. Etsy may see the item as not shipped properly.

I would contact Etsy about it but not say anything about SS.

I am having this problem on a number of delivered orders which is now affecting my Star Seller info. I'm trying to update retrospectively. Etsy won't accept 'other' and the shipping company name when I post outside of the UK or US and shipping company isn't in the drop down list. It's showing as no tracking and stuck in pre transit. I'm so surprised there aren't more threads on this issue!

I've just had this issue today using 'other'.  I just emailed the customer but I feel uncomfortable telling them to go to a website to check their status.
