Etsy doesn't seem to have any way to put in a request to add tracking support (even basic) for a shipping carrier.
In the past they had people who monitored their API page and could add carriers that were supported by aftership. But it seems the last employee monitoring that has left etsy.
Anyone know any actual ways to contact etsy that reaches people who take requests to actually fix anything?
The support I get for any issue like this always is just generic "oh, yeah we dont do that, i will let 'The Team' know about your concern" and then they dont and it disappears into the void.
This is a huge issue because etsy cant be bothered to show the manually added tracking links in their new etsy app. It instead shows customers the words "no tracking" which is a lie, because we submitted a tracking number. I have reported this issue and get the same "oh, yeah we agree it doesnt do that. Ill let 'The Team' know about your experience 'Etsy Cares'"

Using Etsy labels isn't always appropriate for everyone.
As an example, for postage within Australia, buying directly from AusPost is cheaper than buying Etsy labels, and you get better insurance coverage...
Yes, if I wanted to buy labels on etsy I could. As an etsy seller of 14 years I have noticed this option.
We have been fortunate enough to grow to a size where generating every label one by one on etsy would be a painful nightmare.
Instead we use a 3rd party shipping app that generates our labels and syncs the tracking numbers automatically to etsy.
This is 100% fine for achieving star seller status, and for carriers that are supported with "API tracking updates" on etsy (https://developer.etsy.com/documentation/tutorials/fulfillment/#tracking-updates-for-shipping-carrie... )
Unfortunately etsy doesnt update their carrier list very often for the API (like not in the last 4-5 years) and so doesn't have support for a number of carriers like UniUni, Cirro, and many others.
When shipping with these carriers our shipping platform still sends the tracking number, which is the same process as us manually adding the tracking number and a tracking link to the order.
Etsy in web view with a few clicks will eventually show the plain text of the tracking number to the customer not as a link and with no tracking updates (fine).
The etsy customer app on the other hand just shows the words "NO TRACKING" and doesn't convey to the customer in any way or any ability to find the tracking number that we submitted.
The app is getting hung up on the "no live tracking updates" status, and displaying that as if there is no tracking info at all when in fact there is a tracking number provided.

FYI etsy labels are only possible for a some etsy users, not every country is supported. So these problems are more relevant for overseas users as well.

It is missing some supported carriers like YunExpress and ePost Global. Etsy added them quietly at some point but never updated the tutorial so there is no way to manually fulfill those carriers and you just have to hope your 3rd party api does it correctly.
ePost Global shows up in the drop down list for carriers but not in the API reference. Yunexpress shows up in neither.

Do not use the app.. sign into your shop via a browser window.. the app can't do everything- and never could-- it is not designed to. Some things need to be done in the full version. You can easily add the tracking number in to the browser version of Etsy.

I cannot control how my customers view their own etsy orders.
The issue is here that many customers shop on the app, and when they try to check tracking on their app etsy is saying "NO TRACKING" in big letters and not even showing them the text/numbers of the provided tracking number.
This is an issue with the etsy CUSTOMER app not the etsy seller app
The etsy seller app is also meh, but I domnt use it for shipping no.
