Started mid-day today, April 29, 2025.
I am not receiving notifications (email or push) of NEW messages from potential customers. I found two NEW messages in my messages section with no email notification or smartphone notification today.
I've confirmed my notification settings are correct and enabled and restarted my phone and confirmed my browser is up to date.
Not sure I am the only person having issues.
This has affected messages for over a year or more. It is best to check your message folder at least once a day and not to rely on notifications.
Also make sure to check your spam folder, as some genuine messages have been known to filter into spam.
I get about half the emails I should be getting. As a buyer, mostly.
Their system is not working properly and they seem unable or unwilling to fix it.
@WapitiRiverCustoms: There are lots and lots of threads in this forum about issues with app and eMail notifications. The consensus is that a seller needs to check their shop for messages and orders at least daily via a browser until these issues are resolved.
This just started for me today too -- no notifications on the app and none in email. I check Etsy on my desktop multiple times a day but it would be nice if things worked as they're supposed to.

You need to check your shop everyday, OR, activate auto-reply and check your shop everyday. ☺
I'm having the same issue, and it only started in the last few days. I've never had problems before. Maybe something is a little wrong with the Etsy seller app at the moment.
This is also a new issue for me. It may be an ongoing problem but it is a first for me.:
Same issue here. Logged on this morning 4/30 and saw a "new message" from yesterday morning. No push notices to email or phone yesterday. That along with the stats not updating and obvious signs of tech moving things around in order pages makes me believe someone messed up on Etsy side.
