With the new listing page I'm unable to copy/paste tags when editing a copied listing. Now they just delete if clicked.

Yup. This really annoys be because I used that a lot to copy and paste from my other listings or copy part of tags. Why did they have to put them in bubbles that you can't copy with your mouse? I'm doing ok with the new listing form but it certainly is NOT faster. There are WAY more clicks and pauses and scrolling up and down.... it takes longer.
me too. I miss the old listing form.
I've learned to use the new one ... but it's really annoying.
I copy and paste tags in the new form all the time. It's not as quick or easy as before since you have to be a bit more careful where you place your cursor but it's still possible. I find going from the bottom up when highlighting vs starting at the top first tag helps sometimes. Also make sure your cursor isn't hovering over one of the x's. It's definitely annoying that it takes more time and sometimes multiple attempts but it is still possible.
Not possible for me. I was hoping it was a tech issue but sounds like it is not.
Doesn't work for me either on my computer using firefox or safari.
Odd. I'm able to on my desktop using chrome.
Also working in Chrome
That might be it because I use chrome and copy and paste is working for me too.
This is genius, thank you. You just saved me so much time.
The trick is to do it in Quick Edit, and not in the listing page.
@MemoryVintage, if you click near the gray bubble bottom, and drag left to right you should be able to copy and then paste.
Try doing it from the bottom as stated above. You will get the hang of it soon.
I wonder if this is different depending on what you are working with ie a phone or laptop. I have my laptop plugged into a big monitor and do not have this issue
I'm on a desktop and there is no way to highlight the tags in the gray bubbles... I tried going up from the bottom left, right and right clicking but nothing. Whatever. It's not a huge deal, just one of many little things that make it annoying to list now.
There's a much easier / faster way ...
Go to your listings page > click Quick Edit > all your listings tags are now shown ... simply copy & paste from/to where needed.
Hope this helps!
@TBQSC Where do you find Quick Edit?
@IndustrialBlonde on a desktop/laptop, shop manager > listings > quick edit is on the upper right hand side, just under the black "add a listing" bubble.
@TBQSCThank you! Isn't it funny that I can't see what's right in front of me?! Sheesh!
@TBQSC ahh you genius! Thank you so much - the new form blocked copy/paste for me in Firefox, I've been using the screenshot/snippet tool and converting to text LOL your way is much better!
This is very helpful... thank you! I never even looked at quick edit before.
I can't copy and paste in Firefox but I can in another browser. Bing, I think... All desktop.
It's much easier to edit the tags on the Listings Manager page instead of the new form. Just click the Quick Edit button on the listings manager, then all the tags for your listings will show up. Then click the EDIT button on each listings & you can easily go through tags with copy/paste.
I also have issues on the new form... it's touchy! Anywhere I click & the tags just get deleted.
Jeebus..you can copy/paste tags??? All this time....
I have just been copying a similar listing and editing whatever...
Been doing it this way for YEARS! I commented on a similar forum post back in Oct '22 ... https://community.etsy.com/t5/Managing-Your-Shop/Listing-Tags/m-p/139972816
There IS an easier / faster way ... no spaces or anything to remove!
ETA ... you can also use GetVela(dot)com
If you use the same tags often, just make a single comma separated list (i.e. Tag One, Tag Two, Tag Three) which you store in a text editor and then you can copy paste the whole string and add all you tags in one step. Each new tag will start at the comma.
