Newest in a long line of issues

Please let this be a fixable bug: Someone just added one of my items to her favorites list, so, of course I had to check it out. Imagine my surprise when I saw that I now accept exchanges??! WTH? My policy is returns only….everywhere. This won’t end well.

Hello all, we shared your reports here with our engineers. We can confirm this is not a bug, and that this information is not showing for the majority of buyers who may view your listing in a Collection. 

If buyers are reporting seeing exchanges on the listing card and you do not in fact accept exchanges, this is due to a cookie issue. Clearing their browser cookies will resolve it. You can find more information on how to do this here.

That is not new...been there awhile...I noticed that weeks ago already...you have the option to manually change it

Yeah…I just noticed it. I will NOT accept exchanges. I’ve double checked all of my settings and nowhere does it say “exchanges”, only returns. For Pete’s sake!

why don't you want to accept exchanges? The buyer has to pay shipping... @DivineCrossings?

@AnnaleasFinest OOAK items with varying prices makes exchanges a headache I don’t want. Someone can just as easily return and then purchase what they DO want.

@DivineCrossings   I looked too and it only says Returns. Nothing about exchanges.

This under favorites has been available for about three months now,

@ArtDollsbyJD @Thanks for checking! But I think it has something to do with putting the favorite into a specific favorite category, such as “jewelry” or “gifts”

I don't accept exchanges either and saw the same for one of my items in someone's favourites.   By linking back through to my listing it wasn't showing. So definitely another Etsy gremlin .

@ArtDollsbyJD @Yup…refreshed, logged out and in, did a pirouette and threw salt over my shoulder….I apparently now accept exchanges in this person’s favorites. lol.

Just checked this listing under favorites and its says Returns accepted.

I think you may have just seen a glitch.  That is all.  And it may be computer driven.  Did you refresh to see if it was just a glitch.

I wonder if it is a test.

When you posted, I instantly checked mine as I also do not exchange.

I saw this in the policy section, not sure if it is new as I thought it was set in your settings

Returns & exchanges

Tell buyers how you’ll manage returns and exchanges Opens a new tab for each of your listings. Use different policies as needed to cover your unique items.

What listing was it? I looked at a few of yours and there was nothing showing about exchanges, only returns.

It still only shows me "returns accepted" when I favorite it.
Must be another weird test where they display different things to different users. Unfortunately, what they show some users is incorrect...

Adding: I just added it to one of my collections (like jewelry, etc.) and it still only said "returns accepted."
