Has anyone who is experiencing the problem of not being allowed to create, copy or edit listings had success with getting it to work?  I did contact Etsy.  Afterwards the tool worked for one day.  But I am now unable to use it again.  

For reference, I have updated my programs, used different devices and tried different browsers.  In addition there have been several Etsy shop owners reporting the same problem.  So this is not an issue that can be resolved on my end.  It is an Etsy program glitch.  

I've very nervous that I will no longer be able to publish any new works once Etsy retires the older listing tool.  I'm hoping others with this problem have had more success.

@ChillwolfArt You are right.  It is likely the end of it.  The listing tool problem is still happening. I still can't use it.  And more people are reporting they are experiencing the same.  It's becoming apparent only some people will have access to list on Etsy while other won't due to a glitchy program.

@NancyQstudio  I'm so sorry, Nancy. It's inconceivable that at this late date, you and others are still having trouble with the New Listing Tool. And not just small things, you can't list period. Personally I haven't tried yet, but I've been following what you and others are saying. And it doesn't make sense that a year has passed, some Sellers have tried the New Listing Tool, others like myself, have switched back to the Old Listing Form every time, and have provided Feedback as to why we switched back...every single time we switched back.

So here we are present day, Etsy has announced the Old Listing Tool (user friendly as well as functional), will be eliminated, effective June 25. Many Sellers continue to be vocal about ongoing specific problems with the New Listing Tool, many of those problems result in the prevention of listing (which even sounds absurd). In the Announcement, Etsy asked people to share their thoughts in a Survey, But many Sellers have been doing exactly this for over a year, and continue to do so.  Etsy is fully aware of the problems people are having. If the technical team was working on anything they were aware of, I think by this time we'd know (those Sellers who are experiencing problems would see their issue/s remedied and/or it would be addressed in an Announcement. "We listened to your concerns and suggestions...").  And those Sellers would be able to do what they need to do in order to sell...they need to LIST. Honestly I have never been on a site where the Listing Tool prevents you from listing. And it's ludicrous to acknowledge that it's still a problem at this date.

I was able to use the new listing format today to do a duplicate/copy listing.  Seems like one day it works, and next day it doesn't work.  Anyhow, glad it worked for me today.  I'm trying to understand the different ways to do the listings.  It's all unfamiliar and takes me a long, long time to complete.  Then cross my fingers that it will allow me to preview and make a draft.

I've been using the new listing tool for a few days.  What a buggy mess!!!  I have been trying to use old listings as templates to create new listings as well as to renew expired listings after attempting to make minor modifications.  I can't even tell if the listing was published/renewed without going to listing manager or my shop as the new listing tool looks as if it didn't publish/renew.  Another bug is that I am unable to copy in multiple photos and have it maintain the order they were copied in from.  Why?  Then there is the quantity.  For some reason the quantity is now set to zero when I copy in an old listing or renew one that is sold out unlike the old FAR SUPERIOR listing manager that was smart enough to leave the quantity at "1".  I find this all a huge time suck.  Why in the h#ll would they force us into a tool that is buggy and not as user friendly as the one they will no longer let us use especially given how long the piece of junk has been out there???  Not only is this a time suck but it reinforces the image of incompetence that Etsy developers have earned here.  It just gets more and more painful to sell on this site.  Death by a 1000 cuts.

@AmoreTreasure It is incredibly frustrating that the most needed tool is so difficult to use and time consuming.  And for many of us we aren't allowed to use the listing tool at all. How silly is that?!

I agree with you. I write to Etsy and they always mention the same problems that don't solve anything: cookies, browser, blah, blah. A year ago the sellers are complaining about that new listing and Etsy says: We are working on the problems, our engineers....

This is frustrating. Listings I deactivate do not actually deactivate. Listings I change the photos of and activate for my sold or deactivated do not activate. I've wasted a couple of hours going around in circles.

@CoastChimes I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with it too.  It is very frustrating.  

I've contacted Etsy's chat a few times.  They always seem helpful and it's been agreed that the problem is on Etsy's end so they send the info to Etsy. And that's where the support/help ends.  So I no longer feel contacting them is helpful.

There is a survey which Etsy is sending out about this program.  It appears they are looking for positive feedback.  I think it's important we fill it out to let them know this necessary program is not working since they are likely collecting data on this one now.  Here it is:

I'm having issues trying to edit a listing and it's ipossible to save as I get this message "Hm, we’re having trouble saving your changes. Try again, and if this keeps happening contact Etsy Support." Etsy support ? sure bhahhaha

@MoldCreationsNmore Yeah, sadly there is very little Etsy support (if any) for technical issues.  The chat folks are great but can't handle these types of things.

Update for those of us still experiencing problems with the new publishing tool:  Now I am somewhat able to use it.  It still gives me the same error asking me to leave or stay without the option of saving.  When I click on the "stay" option nothing happens as has been happening.  However, if I do it a second time, I still receive the "leave" or "stay" option without the option to "save".  But, the second time it appears the information has saved. It will not save on the first click.  This is incredibly time consuming because edits need to be checked to ensure they took.  

I don't have time to add a new listing today to see if this is something that will work with it.  I'll try this later and share here. I'm happy I can now edit with it.  I'm disappointed it takes so long to use because it still isn't working as it should.

@NancyQstudio  When you are given the options to "leave" or "stay", which one do you click? I ask because I thought I read where some Sellers clicked "leave", and this saved their work. Which sounds convoluted and confusing, the wording. Also crazy that it takes two clicks, and you're not really sure if your edits saved.

@ChillwolfArtIt stopped working for me again this afternoon. But this evening it is  saving my edits when I click "leave" once.    But, the save option is still not available to me.  So it does require double checking to make sure everything took. Because this is sporadic I'm assuming Etsy is working on this right now.  Hopefully it's up and running as it should soon.  It is getting a little bit better.....Just not convenient.

That's interesting. I found it very confusing it always ask whether I am sure I want to leave the page, after I have finished and saved. I was just forcing it to let me leave. I'll give you tip a try, and hope for better results. Thanks!

Hello fellow strugglers.... my current frustration with the new listing format is that I cannot make any effective changes to listings, when I click on apply/update/next I get a never ending circle spinning. Only 12 days left of the old and much more reliable system. Hope they can squash the remaining bugs before the 25th.

Thank You for the Heads Up. I didn't notice today's Update.

The Renew Sold issues hopefully will be fixed before June 25.
As far as the part where it says "Leave the Page" (which is what Sellers are supposed to check in order to save their changes), that is completely backwards. And I don't see anything about that being changed, even though many Sellers brought this point up. How many people would think you're supposed to click "Leave this page". I wouldn't think it would keep your work.

you still can't copy and paste old tags or materials to edit them into new tags / materials.

The tags are so far away from the title to copy and paste into tags. I liked that there was a stationary preview of the listing title across the bottom of the screen... bring that back!

I have been really trying but I hate the new listing format.

I found a work around. Using the ESTY Seller App I was able to renew an item and then went in the shop manager and was able to edit the item for my pattern site also.

Just wanted to share.

I finally listed with the new lister today. The old option is just GONE for me. In my vintage shop it went fairly smooth. In my husband's shop it would not let me publish a listing that was edited from sold NOR  copied and edited. Apparently there is some sort of glitch with edited listings? It DID let me make a 100% new listing. Not ideal as I edit copied or matching solds to save time. They have at least made it one page. The first time I tried it you had to wait for photos to load to continue. I wish they'd have a template option. Editing copied listings sort of worked but a template would be better as you would not have to erase anything (and possibly miss something) I changed my ship times back to 1-3 as my shop days are set M-F so we shall see how that goes. I don't trust them to not penalize me for my stated 3-5 days (even though I shipped M-W-F and sometimes same day) Pure tomfoolerly.. It said to contact Etsy support if you had an issue but we all know what that does..diddly squat! They did not even provide a link to a " listing specialist" just a generic "report it to Etsy support".  Here's my report..IT IS NOT WORKING FOR EDITED OR COPIED LISTINGS!!

QUESTION If you click that "we offer cubic rates" to No thanks as the only other option is learn more(and I know what cubic rates are) will it NOT offer cubic rates as calculated? I WANT them to show cubic rates but I didn't see a way to back track that. On my second listing I just left the box there.
