New Listing Form, still cannot edit listings

I'm still (as of 5/31/24) getting errors using the new listing form when trying to update (edit) existing listings. It says: "Hm, we’re having trouble saving your changes. Try again, and if this keeps happening contact Etsy Support." This has been going on for a while now, as I know others have also experienced.

I go the the Help Center > Manage Listings, which doesn't address this, so I click "I still need help". The only option to contact Etsy is to open Chat which says it's available 24/7, but that gets an error also: "Couldn't Load Messages".

The only way I can update existing listings is to revert to the old listing form. Seriously concerned, it looks like I won't ever be able to edit any existing listings once the old form is gone in a few weeks. (and yes, I already did the listing form survey and brought up the error)

I've read that some people have contacted Etsy about the new listing form errors and gotten help. If you did, what steps did you take?

Hi, Here is a Thread from one week ago; same problem as you. Someone posted they Signed Out of Etsy, then Signed back In.
I hope this helps you. It's beyond absurd at this point that the bugs aren't worked out, especially when the Old Listing Form will be gone June 25.

Thanks for sharing that. I did sign out and back in for another reason, and unfortunately that didn't solve this problem for me.

I am having issues with listing and editing....so frustrating!! I tried signing in and out. Still same thing. I can't edit anything. I get pop ups saying I need to change and add shipping info....It wont let me do that either.

I have no issues with the new format.  I can easily edit and save.  I use Edge browser.

What device are you using?  Is everything up to date including OS and browser.   I never use the app so that could be one possibility.

Also try cleaning out cache and cookies.  See if any extensions are interfering.  It also could be your ISP if your are being timed out.

Thanks for the reply with troubleshooting ideas. My browser and OS are up to date. I'm on a PC (not mobile app). I have cleared cookies and cache. I can edit and save changes for some listings, but then others I can't (within seconds, not at totally different times). Doesn't matter if I'm just updating some description text, rearranging photos, whatever. VPN on or off, same thing happens. Connected to modem via high speed ethernet cable (not WiFi) with dependable internet access, and have perfectly fine access when getting the error (other sites open in other tabs working fine, and can navigate everywhere on Etsy). I can immediately switch to the old listing form and make the same changes and save. I don't know how I would be timed out by my ISP? Can you explain that more?

I get it! I can go to the old form and have no problem, but the new form says I need to contact Etsy because the listing can't be renewed!

I am having the same problem The red pop up with the Hmm were having problems saving changes right now contact etsy support.  But I never have had this with the old form.  Has anyone gotten an answer from Etsy support?  I am seriously concerned since we are only a few days away from the old form going away.  This is very frustrating.

I finally got on chat with Etsy the other day about this, and they said they knew it was an issue and assured me they were working on it and would have it fixed before the old form is gone. Hopefully they do! I personally like the new form, but it has to actually work consistently for every listing. At least they didn't act like it was a mystery or try to tell me it was just me or my computer, so I was encouraged by that.

Still having the same issue as of 6/20/24. Still getting error when trying to save edits to existing (active) listings using the new listing form, such as editing description or rearranging photos. Will it be fixed in the last 5 days after being a bug for months? Or not? I really hate the suspense, LOL!

@KyaniteSkyDigitals I'm still getting errors with it too.  At this point I'm not optimistic about it working properly for my shop.

I'm still getting this same error at the end of October 2024 and there's no longer the option to revert to old listing format. So now I'm stuck and can't update my listings. I will try again tomorrow. This is a real inconvenience!

I'm still getting the error on some of my listings too. I agree, super frustrating! I wonder if it will ever be fixed, or if we just have to make new listings and lose all the view/sales history and favorites. I don't think we should have to do that when it's a bug that needs to be fixed.
