New Account is Frozen due to EIN & SS issues

One minute I am told the SS is verified and not the EIN, then it flops. This is so unprofessional! Shopify was a breeze to work with. Can someone please help. I have double, triple checked, and more. When I try and enter the Full name of my business per the SS-4 Etsy tells me "The name is too long"

@MountainRoseSoapCo: "Shopify was a breeze to work with." Not defending Etsy, but the rules that Etsy is required to comply with are much more restrictive than those that apply to Shopify because Shopify is not considered a marketplace.

Strange about the name too long issue. Generally the "Name of Legal Entity" must include both lines on your SS-4. For example "Store Name LLC FirstName LastName Sole MBR"

It's been a long time since I entered mine and I have an EIN as a sole proprietorship as an LLC is not worthwhile in my state. How to Update Your Legal Name and Taxpayer Information – Etsy Help   If you file as an individual with the IRS you may be considered a disregarded entity.

It sounds like you tried the maximum number of times and after that the account is froze.  Try again in 24 hours.  If it remains frozen you may need to contact Etsy.
