Hi everyone,
Need advice from you. I am going to submit with Etsy Design Awards and I deactivated all my items until August 30 (vacation) excepting the one that I participate with. I did that as it's important for Etsy awards team to be able to analyze/view my item during the all process. I am also able to ship it if someone purchase it within this time frame (it's a constant item in my shop).
I also intend to make a new listing with an announcement just to be more visible because the dedicated profile section is rarely read by anyone. And maybe a shop banner.
What's your thoughts? I don't know if I manage well the situation with vacation and awards... Thank you
You need to change the title to "RESERVED"
"RESERVED" for Etsy awards? I am able to renew it and ship it multiple times if someone purchase it. In the light of it, need to write "reserved" anyway?
Putting Reserved in the title is only required if it is vintage or one-of-a-kind item.
I would make 2 listings for the same item. One for people to buy and one "RESERVED" listing.
I think the rules state you must have 5 active listings in order to be considered. So just activating the one listing that you are submitting isn't enough, you will automatically be disqualified.
Ok, yeah, I forgot about the rule. I will think about submitting or not... I guess many sellers will take a vacation these days. The awards period is not convenient for many of us as there are lots of shops on "vacation mode"...
Thank you for your replies.
@Elyseeart Audrey is correct. You must have at least 5 active listings before even submitting your entry: https://www.etsy.com/legal/policy/etsy-design-awards-2024/1280566864320
I would remove any association to Maleficent. The chances of Etsy promoting an item that uses trademark characters is unlikely... but they have made gaffs in the past,
They did already ignore that when they chose it to be an Etsy's pick...
head slap... of course.
