Sadly, I refused to use the NEW system until the last 30 days ago, so many bugs in the system. Yesterday I changed a price for a potential customer on new system, shows correct price but not on the listing. I had to use the OLD system to change price. What we are seeing in ERRORS 1) Sterling silver items are NOT able to be relisted, you have to renew the item and then go make changes. 2) Quantity is never filled in any more you have to add ONE or more each time. 3) COPY a listing and it doesn't show you its relisted, you have to leave the page or back up and assume the listing was copied and is up on the site, wondering if you have just lost everything you copied into the new listing. 4) Prices are NOT being edited when changed on New system. Why make our lives harder? Something Etsy has always been good at, I guess that is why the stock price just keeps dropping. Uploaded all my listing to Shopify and may give them a try, anyone else using Shopify?
@ThomasBrothers I've never been on Shopify. And have not yet used the New Listing Form (Shop on Vacation). But if I can't list, I won't be here, it's that simple.
If you see the very last post in this Thread (from the OP), will this help with your pricing glitch? It's nuts that at this late date, Sellers are still having trouble. I hope this helps you.

Shopify isn't a marketplace with built in traffic. It's really just a place to set up your business. Different animal from Etsy.
I'm sticking with Etsy. From what I've read Shopify does not get enough traffic.
If I moved every time Etsy changed something I would have been here a month or two instead of 10 years.
Thank you for posting. I could not figure out why my prices were not being updated. Switched back to the old form and it works. Sure hope this is going to be fixed before they take the old form away!!!!
How do you switch back to the old form?
I agree with every point you made because I've been trying to use the new form this week and have encountered every one of the issues you describe.
Along with several errors, like when I used the DUPLICATE function to list a new thing my new photos didn't upload. I had to do that one over.
And the worry over whether the new listing actually uploaded.
And yes, especially, to the price problems. Can't change prices at all.
I wonder how many sellers will just say eff it and go elsewhere. But then they're probably ok with that as they have said the site has too many sellers.
Everyone has their limit. I reached mine at the permanent mandatory offsite ads announcement. I have had a shopify store now for a few years and it significantly outperforms Etsy. That said, I sell a consumable item that lends itself to repeat customers so that makes a difference. As previous posters said, you will have to drive your own traffic.
Another issue with the new listing form ...
The link to the old listing form is obviously opening an entirely new instance of the listing so that two are open at one time. Very confusing.
Last night I edited several existing listings ... little things like new photos or changing some tags.
I click on the listing I want to edit
then I click on the link to the old listing form
make my edits
publish the listing.
Later I noticed that the original listings were still open showing the unedited versions. I had to remember to simply discard. If I published again I would overwrite all the changes I just made.
It’s just getting tired of all the constant changes that keep happening here. I’ve been thinking of leaving for months now. This listing thing just seems like it might be the last straw. Etsy just does not seem to care about the sellers anymore.
Etsy just does not seem to care about the sellers anymore.
Etsy hasn't cared about sellers for a very long time, going back to before they went public, and possibly even longer.
They do care about our money, though, and that they get their cut from all our hard work.
Etsy and Shopify are different:
The two are not exclusive alternatives, they can both be used at the same time.
You can also sell on other marketplaces at the same time, such as Ebay and Amazon.

I'm so sorry you are having all of these issues with Etsy. I have used Shopify in the past, but I honestly just don't want another thing to manage. I already have my hands busy with my handmade jewelry on Etsy, eBay, and Mercari in addition to my illustration work. From what I remember, Shopify was a lot of work and, of course, you have to be excellent at SEO and know how to drive your own traffic. If those are your strengths and you have the time, I say go for it. Why not do Shopify *and* Etsy? It's good to not have all your eggs in one basket. Big hugs and a successful weekend to you.
I use etsy and bigcommerce . (sort of wish it was shopify) It's always great to diversify but unless you're prepared and able to drive all the traffic to your website then it won't do any good to have it. It's sort of like putting up a shop in the middle of nowhere. You can have the best stuff but it doesn't matter if there is no one to see it.
Yes, I am having the same problems as well. I changed the price yet the new price which is shown correctly on the editing page, has not been changed on my shop's listing. It took me all day yesterday to get my new photos uploaded and my painting listed, and now the price is wrong.
I wonder if they did some survey like, "Research shows that buyers don't like it when you change prices," and added that to their long list of things they think they know better than sellers, so it's not a priority for them to fix it.
Otherwise, my personal belief is that with both formats available they can't get the programming to work correctly. So they're going to do what they can and then once they kill the old format on the 25th they'll be scrambling to fix the errors.
If there were ever a time for one of those seller boycotts like some sellers have tried in the past this would be it.
You can also wait a little bit more Etsy said that some problems will be fixed the day of the release.
