If you are getting the "Bummer, your messages have been temporarily disabled" error (and not to discount the fact that your messaging may have been disabled in error) generally it is because the system has detected that your account has been sending unsolicited non-transactional messages or messages with too many external links.

"Your quick and detailed guidance in resolving this issue" Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).

Here was my response:

In your messages there is a folder that says 'from Etsy'. Any message from outside that folder is not from Etsy. If they say they are, but are in your regular inbox and not in the 'from Etsy' folder, then they are scammers. 

If you've actually had your messages suspended, then you just have to wait it out.

They normally suspend accounts that were messaging buyers that hadn't contacted them. Most common is sending a message with a discount to people that favorited their items. That is not allowed, and the punishment is a message ban, which will be removed after whatever amount of time Etsy deems appropriate.

The problem that comes in my messaging section is like my screenshot in the we transfer link I left in the attachment, if you don't want to open the link, I can throw it in jpg format, but I can't find where to throw it, I don't want my account to be closed.

@ArtisticAtriumStudio   Those are both fake accounts, set up to try to convince you they're legit, and to steal your money.

It's a good thing the real Etsy stopped you from replying to the scammers.

So my messaging part is not closed, it only protects me against them, I can normally emsaj, so if it comes from a customer, it is not.

Normally if a message comes from a customer or a normal user I can respond. should I understand this

@ArtisticAtriumStudio: It would help if you specified what error message you are getting. If you are getting the "The username you have entered is not a valid Etsy user" message that almost always means that the account has been closed (either by the person or by Etsy - in the case of scammers probably the latter). Just in case, try to mark the message as SPAM.

Please read all the announcements about how to protect your account. 

There are many scammers these days, you need to learn how to recognize a legit potential buyer and a scammer. 

There are obvious red flags. Them asking for your email is one. Them sending you a link to your email asking for your banking information is a huge one. 

Sometimes you can still respond to the scammers, it all depends on if Etsy has identified their accounts and deleted them before you can or not.

Sometimes Etsy does suspend your messaging abilities. 

Usually it's when sellers send messages to people that have favorited their items. Just don't do that, then it's unlikely you'll get an actual suspension.

It's quite possible that only the scammers have been blocked, but you should get customer messages just fine. New sellers these days seem to be getting many scam messages every day so be sure to read the links posted in this thread to familiarize yourself with what scams can look like. And find the From Etsy link on the left of your messages page so you can check anything that appears to be from Etsy to see if it is legit or not.

If you do get any more scam messages, mark them as spam. This you cannot do on the app, you need to go to the Etsy site to do it. Marking such messages as spam will not count against either your messaging ability or your seller account.
