My listing changed to another language

Hi, one of my customers message me saying that all my listings in Russian language. I already tried to contact the support and they said that there have been no changes made to the listing.

But when I was creating my listing. I made them in English language. I also wrote the name in English language. I also wrote a description in English language.

My phone, shop and app are set in English. I do understand that my native language is Russian and I speak Russian. But I never had my phone in Russian language or the apps.

Few hours ago my customer said that all my listings are wrote into Russian. I am wondering if anybody can help me to fix it and back it up back into English. Because etsy’s customer service is not helping me.

Hmm that is strange. I am in the UK with my user language set to English and all 3 of your listings are showing to me in Russian (title and description) except for the variations. Tags are still in english. I don't know how you fix it because I've never seen this before. Normally it's just a case that the customer's user language has changed by itself and need to be rest.

Do you make the bras or are they vintage? I think maybe you set up the listings wrong but that might be a separate issue.

I already managed to translate everything, but I'm still really surprised how did that occur. Anyway, hopefully that will not happen again because I don't want to spend so much time on translating and rewriting my description. Hopefully Etsy will fix this problem so it will not happen again.

@LagunaLingerie your address still shows Great Britain in Russian!

How come your bras are made in Latvia if you live in the UK? Etsy does not allow reselling in the handmade category. If you are dishonest about your items then you are not covered by Seller Protection when it comes to missing items, NAD and refunds.

Hello, the same happened to us. We had all our listings in English and one day we discovered that 26 of 70 listings were in Italian. We had all our shop set in English and never used Italian ( we live in Italy). We contacted the the Help Center but they didn't give any clear answer and told we had to translate them back ourselves. And we did so not to waste time and sells.

Same with us since 2 months : We manage a french feed and our description appears in english. The help center does not provide any solutions. They don't want to understand the problem. "Empty the internet cache and reinstall the application on your phone" is the only solution they offer. This shows the level of competence of the team.

When you think it can't be worst .... Now Etsy's emails arrive in italian language .... But don't worried : "Empty the internet cache and reinstall the application on your phone"....

I have the same problem, my guess is that when I edit my listings on my app on my phone he saves the listing is Dutch in stead of English. My solution for now is I don't edit the listings anymore with the Etsy seller app.

I'm so frustrated right now that the same happened to me as well. At least I'm lucky that it's only about 2 listings. 

This happened when I was just correcting something in my listing on the phone app which is in Dutch. My all listings are originally in English. 

so, be aware and don't change your listings on your app if your description and app languages are different.

That's exactly what just happened to me: I'm in France but my default language has always been English and I add the French translation. 
I create and edit all my listings on my laptop but Today I downloaded the new app and used it just to add one picture to my new listing... and after that it was in French in both language sections! 
When you think the new app is going to be mandatory...what a gigantic mess for sellers using different langages!

Same problem here. 
I'm in Italy and I've set up my shop in Italian. 
When I list an item I write everything in Italian and after then I manually translate everything into English. 
Suddenly every listing shows up in English (both fields) and now I have to manually re-translate in Italian 110 listings...

Painful... This is why it is a good habit to keep all descriptions and tags saved locally on computer as well. If you also have used erank or something like that, you can open that and without fetching your data, you find your original descriptions there.

I have the sam problem. it seems a bug that does work not well in new formats listings switched and also editing in the app translates all text into dutch with I don't want to because nobody understands dutch almost... not far most Etsy customers! Etsy please... fix it!? thank you...
