Hey all, so earlier today I made a post regarding my listing being erroneously removed because of some etsy creativity guideline. I created this post because I noticed so many others were experiencing the same issue and there is strength in numbers. However, now I am receiving notifications that everyones post is closed because a "solution was found" by a mod. However I haven't received an email with the solution? So why are they closing out our posts?
It's beneficial to leave these posts open as it gives people the opportunity to update their post as well as report back regarding any "help" they received. Closing the posts feels a bit as if our concerns are unimportant. Especially when I (personally) have not received an email regarding the supposed resolution and I'm speculating that none of the others have either.

I suspect the moderators do not want the OPs to report back about what help, if any, they wound up getting. It would be a private matter between Etsy and that seller.
Just a heads up -- since you're questioning a moderator's actions, this thread may also be closed soon, maybe deleted completely.

Re: Mods responding to and closing post but not receiving follow up email
Oh man... thank you for letting me know. That's really disappointing. . I was following all of those posts with the hope of finding out about a solution as well as gaging how long it may take to get this resolved.
Today is the first day I've ever felt so defeated with etsy (enough to create a post here in the forums hoping for help) I had no idea they just close out our posts just because a mod responded.

Re: Mods responding to and closing post but not receiving follow up email
I think I will mark this as the solution. And maybe i will make a seperate post asking others for updates on the supposed email help they are supposed to have received . Hopefully that post won't get closed or deleted.

Re: Mods responding to and closing post but not receiving follow up email
@TheBeeStop I'm sorry, but I don't see an OP with that topic being allowed either. You'd be asking other sellers for information about what private messages they received. It would also probably go downhill pretty fast if the replies become derogatory about Etsy's actions.

Re: Mods responding to and closing post but not receiving follow up email
"However I haven't received an email with the solution?" It can sometimes take weeks to get emails from Etsy, depending what the situation is.
"Solution" is the only way to pin/highlight a post so that everyone sees it at the top of the thread. Frequently, the post is not a solution.

thank you so much for this, I had no idea. I thought the OP gets to select which response is considered a solution

Re: Mods responding to and closing post but not receiving follow up email
The OP does have the ability to select a solution, but mods also have that power. Mods can also close a post if they want.

Re: Mods responding to and closing post but not receiving follow up email
The only email I got after they closed my post down and promised help from a "specialist" just told me to refer to their policies on what is and isn't allowed on Etsy. They are literally not interested.
