**Additional Information**
Sorry, guess I wasn’t clear on my original question. I sent a message to the buyer about overpayment on shipping and a refund. She replied thank you, but used request for help to do so. That was what I did not reply to. It was not a question from the buyer.
ETSY is saying I missed a request for help sent by the buyer. However the request from buyer was just a thank you and did not require an answer. This caused me to miss on my Star Seller rating. Can this be corrected?
I do not think it can be corrected as all first responses need to be replied to even if it a simple "thank you". I understand it was not your first intial message but it was the first through "Request for help" therefore a whole new message even if its on the same order. If this happens again, I would reply a simple "Thank you as well. Have a wonderful day."
You could maybe mark that particular message to spam and it may not count against your badge however, if the customer reaches out to you through that "Request for help" message with an additional inquiry, you might not see it.
Nothing to correct. You must reply

I'll just send a smiley face or have a great Friday kind of message back in those circumstances. Etsy support has said that they cannot/will not change the star status for the current month no matter what the reason it was missed so I'm afraid you're going to have to let May go. Look to the next 30 days....at the rate time is flying by this year, it's going to be June tomorrow. : (
