Messages that told me to verify my bank card

Hi there,

Recently I received messages since I opened my shop and most of them said that I have to verify my bank card or my shop will be suspended. do I really have to?

You're welcome to read numerous forum posts with this exact question. 

All legit messages from Etsy go to your "From Etsy" folder. All sorts of "Etsy Helpers" are NOT Etsy staff. 

Do NOT click any links in your messages. Do NOT scan QR codes. Do NOT give any personal and/or financial information, email/personal address, phone number and so on for "verification". It's SCAM. 

Same rule about emails pretending to be from Etsy. Check your "From Etsy" message folder. 

Send those suspicious messages to Spam. 

And read what Etsy says in the message window: "To stay protected, stay on Etsy. Never follow links to other sites, and don’t share contact, account, or financial info with anyone in Messages. Learn how to spot spam."

NO -- they are SCAMS!!!!!

If Etsy needs any such information from you, you will see a red banner across your dashboard

Genuine messages from Etsy will be in the "From Etsy" folder of your messages inbox -- check in a browser not in an app. 
Any messages that are not in this folder are not from Etsy Support.

If you have given out your card or banking information, notify your bank immediately to prevent fraud.
