Messages not sent/received

I sent messages 2-3 days ago to two buyers and to a shop (which has a star seller 'usually responds within a couple of hours' notice) but I've not had any replies- is there a problem with messages?

Message received right away.  I now see there is a blue dot next to new convos on the app !
