When I look at my Etsy message inbox, it shows the person's name, and then the number of messages between us (in this case it says 5). But when I open the message thread, I can only see their first message, then Etsy's big yellow warning about how sellers need to respond within 24 hours, and then my buyer's most recent message responding to the question I asked them. So, 2 messages total of the apparent 5. But it doesn't show my message that I sent at all, and if there's 2 other messages besides mine, then I don't know what they even are.
Even when I go specifically to my sent message inbox, my messages aren't visible in our message thread. They don't show up on my Sell on Etsy app or on my computer.
My other technical issue today is that when I print my etsy labels, they print within their usual black square border, but the label inside of the border is so blown up huge that it's just one massive barcode. No amount of changing settings can fix it, as it's not zoomed in and it's not fitting incorrectly to the page, and even printing to PDF has the same result. I've found a workaround by screenshotting the page and pasting it into photoshop and printing from there, but I don't know why it's started doing this. Attached a pic of what it looks like. https://i.imgur.com/xUwoHaO.jpg
Is anyone else having either of these issues?
Okay, I just found the technical issues board and I see the pinned replies about how a problem similar to this was fixed in July. Mine happened today. Also, I don't believe I sent my replies from the order page as described in the previous thread, I sent them from my message inbox.
For your labels, try a different browser.
I am having the same problem - printing from other websites is fine. Everything worked properly yesterday but not today. The banner and item photos on my Etsy customer receipts are too large to fit on the page and the labels are printing in jumbo format and only a corner of the label will print. I downloaded the pdf page to my computer and it prints correctly. I also tried a different browser and that worked, but I like my original browser and having to change browsers or download the pdf is not an acceptable solution to an Etsy problem.
I fyou are using Firefox try another browser..there has been label printing issues lately with FF.
@AshleyLaneJewels Were you using Firefox when you had the problem?
Yes - Firefox
I’m having this problem with Firefox (on a Mac) also. I don’t want to use another browser, and downloading labels seems an unnecessary step. I just want to print and get my items packaged!
Here’s what I found to be the best work-around: Don’t use the Firefox PDF viewer. I chose to open my label and packing slip PDFs with Preview. You could also choose Acrobat, but I find Preview quicker.
Instructions are here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/view-pdf-files-firefox-or-choose-another-viewer
Go to “Choose another PDF viewer to use by default or set Firefox to always ask” and follow the directions to “Disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer” and “Set Firefox to ask you what to do with PDF files”.
Hello!
After the last Firefox update I could not print labels either.
Try this:
Click 'print label' and a new tab with your label opens.
At the very top of the page there is a pull down, the default is 'Automatic Zoom'.
Change it to 'Actual Size' or try one of the other options.
Actual size worked for me.
Best wishes -
