I shipped a package from the US to Sweden last month. Etsy shows the ship date as missing which of course is impacting my Star Seller rating. However, I can see the shipping date and full tracking on the courier website (Global Post). I can't find a way to reach Etsy to report this problem.
Any suggestions?
@SARAHENNAseattle: I do not believe that GlobalPost is supported by AfterShip who Etsy relies on for tracking (and tracking number validation). But are you not shipping via USPS with GlobalPost as the shipping partner? Try the tracking number on the USPS web site and if it works, try to change the shipping company to USPS on the actual order (although there is a limited time window to edit shipping).
Hello @SARAHENNAseattle,
Kindly know that if the tracking events aren't showing on the order, it is possible that the shipping carrier’s tracking may not be supported on Etsy. Or the number being entered may not be the tracking number, or a slight error may have been made in entering the number. Please check the carrier and the tracking number match. If the carrier and tracking numbers do not match, this will count as an invalid tracking number. You can edit the tracking number within 3 days after it has been added. You can also check our help center article explaining how to add or edit a tracking number.
While the on-time shipping metric won’t recognize tracking added after the shipping date, remember that orders older than three months will not count toward Star Seller metrics.

Thanks, I appreciate that info! Unfortunately it looks like the window has passed to edit the shipping company; but I'll keep that in mind for the future. Yes, I'm using USPS and can enter that tracking number. I use Shipstation for fulfillment and apparently they pass the GlobalPost tracking # back to Etsy so I may be stuck manually editing every time.
Hello @SARAHENNAseattle,
We've double-checked the order that you're referring to and it seems that the tracking number can't also be tracked on the carrier's website. It is possible that the number entered may not be the tracking number, or a slight error may have been made in entering the number. Please check the carrier and the tracking number match. If the carrier and tracking numbers do not match, this will count as an invalid tracking number. You can edit the tracking number on the order multiple times, within 3 days from the time you added them. You can also check our help center article explaining how to add or edit a tracking number.
Thank you very much!
Hi, I'm able to track this on the GlobalPost tracking page so it is a valid number -- however it's not a USPS number. I use Shipstation for fulfillment which automatically assigns the tracking number and carrier and sends it to Etsy. How do I rectify this?
