I'm finding the messaging function in the mobile app very frustrating to use because I can't see any of the discussion or text in a thread, or scroll through the discussion to re-read any of it while working on a message or reply. After entering and sending text, the only thing visible is a warning banner, space to "Write a message...", and the keyboard. When the customer responds, I can read their message, but once I reply, I cannot see it again unless I leave the thread, then reopen it. I can scroll and review the discussion when I first open the thread, but once I touch the "Write a message..." window it brings up the keyboard and I lose access to the rest of the message thread. I have not found a way to dismiss the keyboard, short of leaving the message thread and re-opening it.
It would sure be helpful if the warning banner would disappear after the first message is sent, and if there was a simple way to dismiss the keyboard without having to close the thread and re-open it.
I'm using iOS 17.5.1 on an iPhone SE.
Anyone else have this issue, or suggestions on how to use the messaging function more efficiently?
