In the breakdown of my messages received and my responses in a timely manner, a second message from Jennifer was not responded to by me. The first message from her (about her shipping me the wrong product) was responded to her on the same day. We had resolved or found a solution to the problem in the first messages and her second message was telling me my options for returning the wrong item. I didn’t think it required a response as we’d put the solution into play. I wouldn’t complain but I would like to become eligible for star status and this gives me a black eye.
@DeedeesMosaics: Probably almost everyone on this forum can sympathize with you but as it says right on your Star Seller page, you need to reply to the FIRST message of EVERY NEW INCOMING THREAD. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else. If it is SPAM then it should be marked as such.
If the unanswered thread is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered message as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two if the original message was within the current star seller period (but not retroactively). Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.
Thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t realize it was a new thread.
You have helped me a lot. I will take your advice.
Go back and reply or mark as spam.
the bots don't know you deemed that message not requiring a response. bots just see an unanswered message. the seller must have opened a new thread with that second message.
