Message response rate calculation

It’s sad to see that the calculation Etsy use to calculate your message response rate, to qualify for Star Seller doesn’t work in favour of the seller.

*Example*

My star seller message response rate is showing as 94% but should be 95%.

• 141 messages have been sent in the review period.

• 133 messages got a reply within 24 hours.

•95% of 141 is 133.95.

*How Etsy Calculate*

Rate=Messages replied within 24 hours/messages sent in total*100

•133/141*100=94.32%

95% of 141 is 133.95

In other words you would have to have answered 134 messages within the 24 hrs to qualify for 95%,  133 messages is .95 of a message short.

You round up if the fraction is above x.5, and down if under x.5.

Either way you didn't make 95%.

You can also use division 133 divided by 141 equals 94.326.
