Message notification not clearing (desktop)

If I access messages from the order section with a orange dot on the message icon (not the messages tab on left), I usually reply there and then this clears that notification (as it's been read) in my messages tab. E.g. had 8 messages, open one in orders, now shows (7) on messages tab.

As of a few days ago, unless I click into the message in the messages tab, it does not view as 'read'.

This essentially means I have to then go into messages tab, click on all my messages (that I have already responded to) in order to clear them all. Annoying!

Is this a bug or permanent change?

I've shown 1 unread on the app for more than a year.  Even if I go in on my laptop and mark everything as read.

SAME    annoying AF          I can't just mark the message as read from the message dashboard, in case I miss it wasn't my reply being marked new, have to double check and look at each one      desktop also     not sure why more people aren't complaining     browser is up to date
